Another meeting of the Organizing Committee for the 13th session of the United Nations World Urban Forum (WUF13) was held on March 4.

In the lead-up to the 13th session of the United Nations World Urban Forum (WUF13), to be held in Baku from 17 to 22 May 2026, the WUF13 Radio Spectrum Management Portal has been launched as part of the event’s technical preparations.

A media briefing was held to outline progress on preparations for the Thirteenth Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), which is set to take place in Baku from 17 to 22 May 2026.

On 24 February 2026, a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) was signed between the WUF13 Azerbaijan Operations Company and AzerEnerji Open Joint-Stock Company by Balababa Rzayev, Chairman of the Management Board of AzerEnerji OJSC, and Adil Mammadov, Executive Director of the WUF13 Azerbaijan Operations Company.

The deadline for submitting applications to participate in the Urban Expo, held as part of the Thirteenth Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku from 17 to 22 May 2026, is 31 March 2026.

From 16 February to 13 March, general training sessions will be organized for candidates who have successfully passed the interview stage of the Volunteer Program carried out as part of the preparations for the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).

On 12 February 2026, an awareness session focusing on urban development, sustainability principles and the thirteenth session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) was held for representatives of civil society in Azerbaijan.

The WUF13 Azerbaijan Operations Company hosted a UN-Habitat technical mission in Baku to discuss and coordinate technical, organizational and operational preparations for the Thirteenth Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).

A number of meetings were held during the mission to address a wide range of priority areas, including broadcasting and media operations, venue preparedness, Urban Expo planning, branding and wayfinding, ICT and audiovisual systems, accessibility, logistics, sustainability, and stakeholder coordination.
