Terms of use

1. General Terms
By accessing and using the official web page of the UN World Urban Forum 13th Session (hereinafter referred to as “the Platform”), you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by these Terms of use (hereinafter referred to as “the Terms”).
These Terms apply to all Users of the Platform regardless of whether access is obtained via a computer, mobile device, or any other internet-enabled device and govern access to and use of all content, features, services, registration tools, and communications made available through the Platform. The Organizer may update these Terms from time to time by publishing the revised version on the Platform.

2. About
The WUF13 Azerbaijan Operations Company (hereinafter referred to as “the Organizer”) operates the Platform in its capacity as the entity responsible for the organization and delivery of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (hereinafter referred to as “WUF13”).
The Platform is established to provide information, enable access to registration links and participation resources, facilitate communication, and provide access to digital materials related to WUF13. The Organizer does not collect, process, or store personal data of Users through the Platform.

3. Use of the Platform
You agree to use the Platform:

Solely for lawful purposes;
In compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
In compliance with the WUF13 Code of Conduct, including respectful, inclusive, and non-discriminatory behavior;
Without disrupting, damaging, interfering with the security or operation of the Platform or attempting to gain unauthorized access.

4. Permission and Access Rights
The Organizer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable permission to access and use the Platform strictly in accordance with these Terms. No ownership rights or proprietary interests in the Platform or its Content are transferred to you.

5. Key Definitions:
For the purposes of these Terms:
• User or You means any person accessing or using the Platform;
• Content includes all text, documents, images, videos, graphics, logos, and other materials made available on the Platform;
• Third-Party Services means services provided by the legal entities or physical persons other than the Organizer, which are linked to or integrated with the Platform.

6. Restrictions
You agree not to:
• Copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or commercially exploit any part of the Platform or its Content without prior written authorization;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Platform;
• Remove or obscure copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices;
• Use the Platform for unauthorized promotional, misleading, or commercial purposes.

7. Intellectual Property
All rights in and to the Platform and its Content belong to the Organizer, its licensors, or other rightful owners, unless expressly stated otherwise.

The Platform and its Content are protected by the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as by applicable international intellectual property laws.

Unless explicitly permitted under these Terms, the Content may not be copied, altered, reproduced, extracted, stored, published, distributed, or otherwise used, in whole or in part, in any form or by any means, without the prior written consent of the Organizer.

8. Third-Party Services and External Links

The Platform may provide access to the Third-Party Services. Access to or use of such Third-Party Services is entirely at the User’s own risk.

Any interaction, transaction, registration, or activity carried out through Third-Party Services shall be governed exclusively by the terms, conditions, and privacy policies of the respective third-party service providers.

The Organizer does not control, operate, manage, or monitor Third-Party Services and makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding their content, accuracy, availability, functionality, security, or data processing practices. The Organizer shall not be responsible for any liability arising from or related to the User’s access to or use of Third-Party Services.

9. Cookies
The Platform may use cookies or similar technologies to enhance user experience and analyze website performance. These cookies do not collect personally identifiable information. Users may manage their cookie preferences through the cookie notice displayed on the Platform.

10. Platform Modifications and Availability

The Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify the Platform in whole or in part, or to suspend it temporarily or permanently, without prior notice to the User and without assuming any liability. In the event of a breach of these Terms, the User’s access to the Platform may be restricted or terminated.

11. No Warranties
The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Organizer disclaims all express and implied warranties, including, without limitation, any warranties relating to the accuracy, reliability, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose of the Content, and assumes no related obligations.

12. Limitation of Liability
The Organizer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use of, or inability to use, the Platform.

13. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
