Anar Guliyev Meets with Brazil’s Minister of Cities Jader Filho at COP30

On November 11, Anar Guliyev, Chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture, held a productive meeting with Brazil’s Minister of Cities, Jader Filho, during COP30 in Belém.

The Committee Chairman congratulated the Brazilian side on the successful organization of COP30 and highlighted Brazil’s active role in the integrated development of global climate and urban agendas.

During the meeting, opportunities for closer cooperation in sustainable urban development and inclusive climate solutions were discussed. Anar Guliyev warmly invited Brazil to participate in the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13), to be held in Baku in 2026, expressing confidence that this important global platform will contribute to shaping the future of sustainable, innovative, and people-centered cities.
