WUF13 Festival in Lankaran Concludes with Public Programme

On 2 May, the WUF13 Festival took place in Lankaran, bringing together residents and visitors in a city-wide effort to raise awareness of the thirteenth session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).

The event was attended by Taleh Garashov, Head of the Lankaran City Executive Authority, alongside officials and members of the local community.

The public programme featured a vibrant mix of interactive activities, educational games, presentations and open discussions, engaging audiences with themes such as sustainable urban development, inclusive urban environments, innovative urban solutions and the cities of the future.

Participants were also invited to take part in themed quizzes on WUF13, urban development and Lankaran’s architectural heritage, with prizes awarded to those who answered correctly.

The programme drew a crowd of more than 9,000 participants and was met with considerable public interest.
