Visually impaired attendees
WUF13 ensures that the venue is accessible and navigable for visually impaired participants, with a range of inclusive design features and assistive tools to support independence and comfort.
A tactile map is prominently positioned at the main entrance for immediate reference. Braille brochures and information materials can be obtained from the Accessibility Help Desk in Area A. Booklets will be available in both Azerbaijani and English to ensure comprehensive access to information.
Braille signage is provided on all doors and key facilities within the venue. The official WUF13 website is designed to be accessible for visually impaired users.
The venue design incorporates high-contrast colours and yellow tactile markers on transparent doors, as well as at the beginning and end of ramps and staircases, to enhance visibility and safety. Tactile paving will be installed throughout the stadium to guide visually impaired attendees safely. An audio navigation system will also be available within the venue to support wayfinding.
For guide dogs, three relief areas will be available. Guide dogs are welcome throughout all areas of the WUF13 venue. Visitors accompanied by guide dogs are kindly requested to ensure that all required documentation is provided and that the dog’s muzzle is properly secured.
