Cultural Heritage and Modern Technologies: Application of Digital Solutions

The event aims to explore the role of digital technologies in the preservation, management, and integration of cultural heritage within modern urban planning processes. Organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, it will bring together 100–150 participants, including policymakers, experts, and representatives of international organizations. The session will highlight the use of digital tools—such as GIS, drone imaging, 3D modeling, and virtual platforms—for documenting, mapping, and monitoring heritage sites.  

The event will facilitate the exchange of international best practices, promote innovative digital solutions, and support the effective integration of cultural heritage into sustainable urban development. It will also emphasize the role of digital platforms in improving public access to heritage information and fostering tourism, in line with the objectives of the thirteenth session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).
