WUF13 Baku Walkshop

The WUF13 Baku Walkshop will offer an immersive, on-the-ground exploration of walkability, road safety, and inclusive urban design in Baku’s city centre. Guided by local and international experts, the walk will examine how street designs influence mobility choices, public health, and housing access, amongst others. Participants will experience both highly walkable historic areas and more car-dominated corridors, highlighting key challenges and opportunities. Using the SidewalkScanner tool, the walkshop will combine lived experience with data-driven insights, fostering dialogue, learning, and collaboration to advance safer, more accessible, and people-centred designs.
