Industrial Development and Urbanization: Study Visit to Alat Free Economic Zone

The event aims to explore the role of industrial development in shaping urbanization through a guided study visit to the Alat Free Economic Zone. Organized by AzUAC, the event will engage 28 students in a 3–4 hour excursion focused on large‑scale territorial planning, infrastructure, and the integration of industrial and urban functions. Participants will examine how economic drivers influence spatial development and the formation of sustainable communities. The visit will strengthen analytical and systems‑thinking skills while connecting academic learning with real‑world practice. The event will support the development of future urban planners in line with the objectives of the thirteenth session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).
